Level 1 Starter Assistant Course @ Neath

This Level 1 Starter / Starters Assistant course is bolted onto the Under 15 track and field league meeting so that trainee official can be tutored whilst in a practical environment. Before the competition starts, there will be an introduction hour. On the day you might even have the opportunity to have a go at starting some races as well with the electronic gun (this will be decided on the day of event).

The Under 15 League meetings tend to be ideal platforms and these formats work as they are dealing with a "live" meeting working with the starting team (under guidance) as well as an alternative to purely classroom learning. This day can be used as one of your four experiences for Level 1.

Duration: 1 Day 10:00-17:30

Date: Saturday 27th July

Cost: Free

Location: Cwrt Herbert Athletics Track, Neath

To complete your license, you'll need to have a valid DBS cleared with UK Athletics. After completion of the courses, candidates will gain experience by attending a minimum number of events to assist as a qualified official and complete a recorded evidence form detailing each meeting and have this signed by a qualified UKA Technical Official.
